Subject: Facts on the "Faroese Massacre"

The Faroe Islands, are 18 islands, two are not inhabited and one is inhabited in the summermonths, and the population is app. 43.000.
You state that that the killing has not changed for hundreds of years. This is not true, there have been several weapons in use (A net for capturing; a long "spear" for the killing, and other...), which are not in use now, because they are believed to cause the Pilot Whales unnecesarry suffering. There is an ongoing research, in the whale killing techniques. Independent research has shown, that the most "humane" way of killin them, is in fact this technique. The size of the knife is of the essence when the major arteries and veins have to be cut as fast as possible. The major arteries and veins to the head are cut with the second stroke of the knife, at that second, the whale is dead.
None of the meat goes to waste, the only thing that goes to waste are the bones and intestine. This is true, but i guess that you decide to believe otherwise.
I would like to ask you, what do you think is more humane: to have an animale living in a cage from birt to death, or to let it roam free from birth to death ?
I do honestly believe that the meat factories, that hold thousands and thousands of animals in cages is the ultimate rape of mother nature.
Are you really so misguided, that you think that going to the clean desinfectd supermarked is more natural, than a bloody and messy hunt.
See for yourself, how a hunt in the nature goes on, it's always filled with pain and and agony for the prey. This does not mean that i want to inflict pain and agony, i try to avoid it if possible.
I know that the levels of mercury an PCB is at dangerous levels in whale blubber, I think that you know who the source for that is... I'd just like to say THANK YOU.
I do honestly think that you need to think this through.
An animal may seem cute and sweet, but it is a link in the food chain.
We are a natural predator, you need to remember that.
How about trying to stop the exploitation of animals in various "animal shows": the bullfighting in Spain, the rodeo and snakeslaughter in USA, the tooth- and- clawless bear Vs. a pack of dogs in the middle east, the animalfighting of various kinds in asia.
